El Festival de Eurovisión estudia vetar la canción de Israel sobre las amenazas de Irán (Naiara Galarraga)

Los líderes políticos israelíes aprovechan desde hace meses cualquier foro para alertar sobre el programa nuclear iraní. Y la canción que representará a Israel en Eurovisión va en esa línea. Titulada Apretar el botón, habla de "líderes locos" e incluye frases como "nos va a volar por los aires hasta el día del juicio final". Los organizadores del festival, que se celebra en mayo en Finlandia, estudian vetar la canción porque su contenido es "inadecuado" para el evento.

El Gobierno hebreo, y muchos israelíes, se toman muy en serio las amenazas del presidente Mahmud Ahmadineyad de "borrar del mapa" el Estado judío. "No quiero morir, quiero ver florecer las flores", dice la canción. Kobi Oz, el cantante de Teapacks, famosos antes de la polémica, declaró ayer al diario Yediot Ahronot que la letra de Apretar el botón no es política; pero añadió: "Nuestra manera de afrontar el terrorismo es reírnos en su cara. Los europeos deberían adoptar este método". Oz reivindica su intento de "traspasar las normas" en el edulcorado concurso. "La canción habla del estado de la humanidad, donde una minoría tiene acceso a demasiado poder. La letra podría referirse al terrorismo en Rusia o España", explicó Oz.
